HASTINGS, Neb. – It was a day of narrow misses for the College of Saint Mary tennis team on Friday, the first day of the two-day Bronco Invite.

The Flames lost five of their six singles matches, and almost all of them were close matches.

"A disappointing day with missed opportunities,'' CSM Coach Michael Johnson said. "Our doubles showing was slightly better than our singles showing.''

In doubles play, CSM finished 3-3 on the day.

The tournament will conclude on Saturday, with CSM finishing up singles play.
