Flames ready for GPAC Cross Country Championships

OMAHA, Neb. – The College of Saint Mary cross country team is gearing up for the 2023 Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday.

The event will be held at the Adams Nature Preserve in North Sioux City, S.D. The women's 6K race will begin at 10:45 a.m.

Competing for the Flames will be Natalie Briggs, Kiley Craft, Jocelyn Farhar, Mira Fosmer, Chloe Inhelder, Yenifer Juan Jesus, Corinne Mead, Lorena Ramirez, Autumn Simons and Brooke Wigdahl.

Dordt University is the defending GPAC Champion for the women's event. The Defenders scored 33 points at last year's event in Jamestown, N.D. 

In the latest NAIA Women's Cross Country Poll (Oct. 26) the GPAC has two teams ranked with Concordia 6th and Dordt 8th.  Both Doane and Hastings are receiving votes.
