TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – She had her sunglasses on and wore her "College of Saint Mary" white uniform.
Chloe Inhelder (JR/Aurora, Colo.) was proud to step to the starting line at the NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championships Friday morning.
Inhelder placed 141st in a field of 326 runners with a time of 19:16.5 at the event in Tallahassee, Fla.
"My experience today was a great opportunity and I had so much fun," Inhelder said. "Even though I didn't PR I am very blessed to make it this far for my running career and to represent College of Saint Mary today!"
CSM Coach Derek Fey was impressed by Inhelder's race.
"Chloe ran a really smart race and really moved up the second half of the race," Fey said. "She finished in the top half of the field which was the goal.
"It was a great experience for her first national meet. It will definitely set her up well for next year. I'm extremely proud of her season."
