CSM runners have solid day at Woody Greeno
LINCOLN, Neb. – It was a good day for the College of Saint Mary cross country team.
The Flames took 23rd out of 29 teams in the Woody Greeno/Jay Dirksen Invite Saturday.
"We had season bests across the board," CSM Coach Derek Fey said. "You can't ask for much more than that. It was a really large meet so they had plenty of people to chase down. We had some all-time personal bests, too, so it was a good day overall."
Chloe Inhelder (JR/Aurora, Colo.) led the Flames with a 5K time of 19:44.3 for 102nd place individually.
Other times for CSM were: Jocelyn Farhar (SO/Broomfield, Colo.) 20:31.9; Corinne Mead (FR/Elkhorn, Neb.) 21:00.8; Kiley Craft (FR/Fargo, N.D.) 21:51.2; Autumn Simons (SO/Petersburg, Neb.) 22:03.3; Lorena Ramirez (SR/Bellevue, Neb.) 22:11.0; Alivia Austin (FR/Papillion, Neb.) 22:42.5; Madeline Krause (JR/Omaha, Neb.) 22:53.9; Alyssa Burk (SR/Omaha, Neb.) 23:26.5; Brooke Wigdahl (JR/Omaha, Neb.) 24:13.4; Emma Lee (FR/Council Bluffs, Iowa) 25:45.2; Kira Hagan (FR/Perryville, Mo.) 26:13.7; Chyna Delker (SR/Hastings, Neb.) 28:25.3.
"We will keep working on closing the gap between our third and fifth runners," Fey said.
