Pistulka signs with Flames for volleyball

OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary is thrilled to announce that Madalyn Pistulka has signed to continue her volleyball career with the school in the 2026-27 academic year.

Pistulka is a senior at West Holt High School in Atkinson, Neb. She is the daughter of Paul and Corinne Pistulka.

CSM Coach Rick Pruett said Pistulka will compete at defensive specialist and brings many positive qualities to the program.

"Madalyn will bring great energy to the team,'' he said. "She is a very good defensive player and passer, and she will bring a great competitive mentality to the team as well. Excited to have her.''

At West Holt, Pistulka has participated in volleyball, wrestling and track & field, all for four years. She won district wrestling titles as an individual and a team in her senior year, and those are her greatest sports moments to date.

In her spare time, Pistulka enjoys reading, going for walks, baking, making coffee, working out and spending time with friends.

Pistulka said ending up as a Flame felt inevitable.

"I chose CSM because when I visited, it made me feel like I was supposed to be there,'' she said. "It felt like a community of people within a large town that could give me so many opportunities.

"The nursing program also has a great reputation and would help me succeed in my future. CSM also allows me to grow in my education while giving me the opportunity to continue playing volleyball.''
