Iowa standout selects CSM for volleyball
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary is thrilled to announce the signing of Aubree Davis, who will join the school's volleyball program in the 2026-27 academic year.
Davis, a 5-foot-11 middle blocker, is a highly accomplished senior at Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs. She is the daughter of Bill and Jennifer Prestridge. She was a first-team all-state and unanimous first-team All-Hawkeye Ten Conference selection in volleyball this past season.
"It's a great day for Flames volleyball with the signing of Aubree Davis,'' CSM Coach Rick Pruett said. "Aubree is a special talent who will make an immediate impact on our program. It was apparent when I first met Aubree, talked to her and watched her play that we wanted her here at CSM.''
Davis had many athletic options for college, but she has a deep belief that CSM is where she's meant to be.
"CSM provides a space where I will be able to grow intellectually, personally, as well as athletically,'' she said. "Here, I have access to programs that will allow me to reach my goals. The entire community, including staff, students and coaches, made me feel at home.''
Davis also has earned first-team all-state softball honors at Lewis Central and has had a hand in three school records on the track, including a seventh-place finish in the Class 4A 200 meters at last year's state meet.
"Not only is she an outstanding volleyball player, but she has had outstanding performances on the track and softball field,'' Pruett said. "She is so talented in everything she does. We are getting a gem of an athlete and most important, a great young lady.''
Davis, whose sports hero is Tim Tebow, enjoys reading, spending time with friends and traveling in her spare time. Among her numerous sports accolades, her greatest sports moment to date is "being allowed the honor to be a part of the volleyball program at CSM.''
Pruett said Davis' commitment is a win for the school, on and off the court.
"She is everything we want in a player and person,'' he said. "She is a great talent, hard working, respectful and wants to win! A perfect fit for us.''
