Bio

Derek Fey is in his 13th year as head coach of the College of Saint Mary cross country team. He is also the distance coach for the CSM track & field team. Fey is a full-time teacher at Westside High School in Omaha, where he teaches AP Geography, Global Geography and US History.

2019 Highest GPAC finish as a team (6th place)

2014 MCAC Team Champions

2014 Qualified for NAIA National Cross Country Meet for second time in school history

2-time NAIA All-American in cross country and track

School record-holder in half marathon (1:09:23)

GPAC Individual Conference Champion – Cross Country (2002)

Jacksonville Marathon – 3rd place (2003)

Lincoln Marathon – Runner-up (2004)

Omaha Half-Marathon – Runner-up (2005)

Omaha Marathon – Champion (2013)

Boston Marathon – 77th place (2010) out of 25,000

Inducted into the Omaha Running Club Hall of Fame (2022)

Inducted into the Dana College Athletic Hall of Fame (2022)
