Flames’ five ready for nationals
MARION, Ind. – College of Saint Mary's will again be represented on the national stage Wednesday and Thursday, as the 2025 Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship takes place in Marion, Ind.

Five Flames athletes will be in action.
CSM has qualified in Wednesday's 4x800-meter relay prelims, which are scheduled for 5:10 p.m. Central. Freshman Olivia Elbert, sophomore Mira Fosmer, freshman Carly Henderson and freshman Kara Muller will compete, and their outdoor season-best time of 9:17.17 ranks 13th nationally among the 27 entries. The top nine out of 27 will advance to Thursday's 5:10 p.m. Central final.
The same four women earned All-America honors during the indoor season, placing fifth nationally in a program-record 9:11.09.
At noon Central time on Thursday, senior Claire Caspersen will compete in the shot put. Her season-best throw of 14.64 meters (48 feet, ½ inch) is the fourth-best nationally among 20 entries entering the meet.
Caspersen has qualified for all eight indoor and outdoor national meets in her career. She is a five-time All-American, and has placed 18th, fifth and third in her previous three outdoor national meets in the event.
