Flames sending 12 student-athletes to GPAC Championships
OMAHA, Neb. – The qualifiers have been announced for the Great Plains Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships and the Flames will be sending 12 student-athletes to the event.
The championships will be a two-day meet this Friday and Saturday hosted by Dordt University at Open Space Stadium in Sioux Center, Iowa.
The Flames will have representation from eight athletes in track events, three athletes in field events and one relay team.
Qualifying for College of Saint Mary is:
400 – Autumn Simons
800 – Chantaya Griffin
1,500 – Corinne Mead and Madeline Krause
5,000 – Chloe Inhelder and Lorena Ramirez
3,000 Steeplechase – Brooke Wigdahl and Jocey Farhar
Javelin – Madalynn Rhodes
Shot Put – Claire Caspersen and Tavia Williams
Discus – Caspersen
4x800 Relay – Simons, Mead, Wigdahl and Abby Ridout
CSM's only competitors on Friday will be Rhodes in the javelin and the 4x800 relay team. All other CSM athletes will compete on Saturday.
