"Renee pulled out an amazing third-set tiebreaker win 10-8 after being down," CSM Coach Mike Johnson said. "She showed some real grit and carried the team to a win.
"It was tough losses for Miranda, Lyna and Darece in singles, but they played very tough opponents and did adapt on court and showed the ability to make changes mid-match. They were outgunned, but did a great job."
The Flames return to action Saturday with a 6 p.m. home contest vs. University of Minnesota Morris at Genesis Health Club – Westroads.
"We look forward to getting back to competition and we are excited for the upcoming matches," Johnson said.
