Vanschoiack named KCAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week
OMAHA, Neb – College of Saint Mary is proud to announce that Jaidyn Vanschoiack has been named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week.
A senior from Beatrice, Neb., Vanschoiack earned the award for her performance from Nov. 24-Dec. 14, and it was selected by the conference's Sports Information Directors.
The KCAC men's winner was Radek Ruzicka of Midland University.

Jaidyn Vanschoiack, College of Saint Mary
Vanschoiack had the 'meet of her life' at the Warrior Invitational in Fremont, Neb., according to coach Liz Germonprez. She set personal bests in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke, and added a season best in the 50 backstroke. Her time in the 100 free was a 4.4-second drop from her previous best. Vanschoiack had one individual victory, swam on two relay winners, and added a third and a fifth in individual events and a second and a third in her other two relays.
Raden Ruzicka, Midland University
Ruzicka, a junior from Prague, Czech Republic, had a pair of individual wins in the 100 and 200 breaststroke at the Warrior Invitational. He reached the NAIA "B," or provisional, Standard in both finals. Additionally, he helped Midland to a relay win in the 400 medley relay and a runner-up finish in the 200 medley relay.
