ELKHART, Ind. – The College of Saint Mary swim team had a record-breaking first day at the KCAC Championships Thursday.

CSM swimmers broke four school records at Elkhart Community Center. The Flames are currently in fifth place in team competition with 103 points.

"I don't know that things could have gone any better for the ladies today," CSM Interim Coach Eric Rees said. "We had a fantastic day. We had two school records in prelims and then two school records from our relays in the finals."

Advancing to the evening finals from prelims were Kylee Brown and Addison Miller in the 500 freestyle, Mia Gauvin and Hannah Ryan in the 200 individual medley and Maeve Janssen and Lily Wright in the 50 freestyle. Both relays also swam in the evening finals.

"I was so happy for the ladies," Rees said. "This is the first time we've had a relay medal in this conference."
