Millard South swimmer signs with CSM
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary Swim Coach Mykenzie Leehy is pleased to announce the signing of Skylar Ned.
Ned recently signed her letter of intent to join the Flames in the fall to continue her education and swimming career. She plans to pursue nursing at CSM.
The 5-3 swimmer is the daughter of Troy Molstad and Rebecca Van Fosson. She recently graduated from Millard South High School where she participated in cross country, volleyball, basketball, track & field and swimming during her time with the Patriots.
Ned says her favorite sports hero is swimmer Katie Ledecky and that her hobbies include reading, being outside, playing with her pets and working. Her greatest sports moment to date is getting her best time in the 100 freestyle before her high school season started.
"We are so excited to welcome Skylar to our team," Leehy said. "She is passionate about swimming and her nursing career which will help elevate our team in the pool and in the classroom."
Ned is looking forward to joining the Flames.
"CSM is my college choice because I like the atmosphere," Ned said. "When I first went to tour the college I was really nervous because I didn't really know much about playing sports in college. Coach Mykenzie was very understanding and answered all the questions I had. I also chose CSM because of the team. I can tell they really put the effort in to making it a team."
