CSM adds Ruotsala to soccer program

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – College of Saint Mary is thrilled to announce that Noelani Ruotsala has signed to continue her soccer career with the school in the 2026-27 academic year.

Ruotsala is a senior at Arvada West High School in Arvada, Colo. She is the daughter of Lane Ruotsala and Kim Da Silva and will be competing for playing time at goalkeeper.

CSM Coach Jamison Parkhill said Ruotsala is a great addition to that position group.

"Noelani is a keeper who we have been after for a while,'' he said. "She came to our ID camp and was impressive from the start. We are excited to add her to our keeper room.''

Ruotsala has played soccer for four years at her high school. Her greatest sports moment to date was beating her rival school in her junior year.

In her free time, Ruotsala enjoys participating in an orchestra, working out and spending time with friends. She said she chose CSM "because of its welcoming community and the positive atmosphere on campus. I believe this environment will help me thrive, both academically and athletically!''

Parkhill said she will be a great fit for the school.

"She has high-level IQ and great hands,'' he said. "She will do great things in Flames colors, both on and off the field.''
