Flames set for GPAC tourney on Monday, Tuesday
BEATRICE, Neb. – College of Saint Mary will compete in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships on Monday and Tuesday at the Centura Hills Golf Club.
Under coach Keri Rodriguez, the Flames are hoping to improve on last year's 11th-place finish. CSM is expected to have junior Emily Faubel, sophomores Ritzy Dominguez, Katie Freeman and Erika Headlee, and freshman Victoria Farkas in action.
Monday's competition, which starts at 8:30 a.m., will be 36 holes, and CSM will be among that first group, joining Mount Marty University, Dordt University and Northwestern College.
Day two will cover 18 holes. The entire tournament is 54 holes, with the GPAC team champion advancing to the NAIA National Championships in Ypsilanti, Mich., May 13 to 16 at the Eagle Crest Golf Club. The individual champion (unless on the winning team) will also advance to the NAIA Championships.

Morningside is the defending team champion after claiming the 2024 title in Spencer, Iowa. Sofia Castelan from Morningside was the 2024 GPAC Individual Champion.
