CSM golf heads to GPAC Championships

OMAHA, Neb. – The College of Saint Mary golf team has been preparing all season to play in the 2024 Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships. The tournament will be played in Spencer, Iowa, at the Spencer Country Club Monday and Tuesday.

Competing for the Flames will be Emily Faubel, Gabby Sinnett, Anna Moore, Ritzy Dominguez and Katie Freeman.

The tournament will be 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. The entire tournament is 54 holes with the GPAC team champion advancing to the NAIA National Championships in Silvis, Illinois, on May 14-17 at TPC Deere Run. The second-place team could earn an at-large berth if they meet NAIA ranking criteria. The individual champion (unless on the winning team) will also advance to the NAIA Championships.

"It's going to be another battle with the wind – which is a shame for a national qualifier," CSM Coach Keri Rodriguez said. "I'm hoping my team can take what they've learned this year and give it their very best effort in these conditions."
