Flames finish 8th at Bulldog Invite
LINCOLN, Neb. – The College of Saint Mary golf team slipped one spot to finish eighth place at the Concordia Bulldog Spring Invitational Tuesday.
The Flames shot a 350 in the second day of the tournament at Highlands Golf Course. That gave CSM a 352-339-350—1,041 for the two-day total.
"We were hoping for better scores today, but we just couldn't deliver," CSM Coach Keri Rodriguez said. "Still – for our first spring event – I'm pleased overall with what I saw on the course."
Iowa Western Community College won the event with 928.
Brooke King from University of Nebraska Kearney was the medalist with an eight-over-par 76-76-72—224.
Emily Faubel led the Flames with an 85 Tuesday for a two-day total of 84-83-85—252.
Also for CSM: Torrance Loudner finished with 88-85-87—260; Gabby Sinnett 88-86-90—264; Alexa Piecko 98-85-93—276; Anna Moore 92-99-88—279.
"I'm especially happy for Anna for shooting her personal best with an 88 today," Rodriguez said.
The Flames resume competition April 12-13 for their home invitational.
