Flames finish 12th at Eagle Invitational

BELTON, Mo. – College of Saint Mary Bowling Coach Corrinne Johnson said her squad stayed positive Sunday in the second day of the Eagle Invitational, hosted by Avila University.

The Flames finished 12th place with a total pin count of 3,330 in the 25 Baker Games. The tournament was held at Aaron's Family Fun Center.

"The ladies struggled with stamina today coming off a long break," Johnson said. "But they had positive attitudes all day, they worked together and they had fun."

The Flames rolled their best game at the end of the day with a 181 in the 24th Baker game.

CSM's Baker scores were 136, 185, 146, 127, 125, 145, 104, 160, 113, 112, 125, 111, 110, 124, 123, 149, 140, 153, 114, 145, 107, 160, 118, 181 and 117.

Ottawa University won Sunday's event with 4,400 total pins. Missouri Baptist University came in second with 4,284 and McPherson College placed third with 4,210.

The Flames return to action next weekend at the MIBC Championship in Waterloo, Iowa.
