CSM bowlers place 26th at Leatherneck Classic
ROCKFORD, Ill. – The College of Saint Mary bowling team got off to a slow start Sunday morning at the Leatherneck Classic. But the Flames rallied and made improvements throughout the day.
CSM took 26th place in team competition with a two-day total of 6,080 total pins. The Flames knocked down 3,803 pins Saturday during individual games. Then CSM added another 2,277 pins during Baker games Sunday.
Games scores for the Bakers were 124, 124, 148, 120, 113, 129, 122, 191, 155, 202, 132, 132, 151, 156, 138 and 140.
"We got off to a slow start this morning, but in Game 8 we rolled a 191," CSM Coach Corrinne Johnson said. "The ladies were pumped up for the next set and they answered back with a 202 in Game 10.
"The ladies stayed positive all day and just had fun bowling."
The Flames stay closer to home for their next tournament as they compete in the MIBC Tournament II in Council Bluffs, Iowa next weekend.
