Watts named first-team All-GPAC in softball

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – College of Saint Mary is pleased to announce that junior Ella Watts has been named to the All-Great Plains Athletic Conference first team for softball, following a vote of the league's coaches.

An infielder from Omaha, Neb., who prepped at Yutan High School, Watts led the Flames this season in batting average (.426), on-base percentage (.484), hits (49) and triples (3), and was second in runs scored (21), doubles (8), homers (3), RBIs (17), stolen bases (4) and slugging percentage (.625). Watts moves up from last year's second team. She was honorable mention in 2024 as a freshman.

Reed, who was also honorable mention in 2024, was considered one of the best defensive outfielders in the league. McFadden led the team in runs scored (26), doubles (12) and homers (4), and was second in hits (40), batting average (.325) and slugging percentage (.520), as well as tied for second in RBIs (16).
