McCoy to Join CSM Softball

BENNINGTON, Nebraska – Head coach Chuck Brewer announced the signing of catcher/outfielder Heather McCoy (Omaha, Neb. / Bennington High School) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic career at College of Saint Mary.

"CSM was my college choice because of their 5-year combined bachelor's and master's degree program in occupational therapy," commented McCoy. "I also get to play a sport that I love. I believe CSM will better prepare me for the future. Their outstanding reputation for the OT program and job placement rate is very impressive."

McCoy was a four year letter winner at Bennington High School.

The Flames ended the season with a 12-21 overall record and were 7-10 in Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

"Heather is a very athletic player," commented Head Coach Chuck Brewer. "She plays catcher, but is also fast enough to play in the outfield. We are very happy to have a great student and person like Heather join our softball program here at CSM."

College of Saint Mary athletic teams are members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Midland Collegiate Athletic Conference (MCAC). CSM is a Catholic university dedicated to the education of women in an environment that calls forth potential and fosters leadership.
