Flames dance team places 9th
SIOUX CENTER, Iowa – The College of Saint Mary competitive dance team finished ninth among the 10 entries in the Annual Cheer and Dance Invite hosted by Dordt University on Saturday at the De Witt Gym.
The Flames finished with a score of 68.13 points, ahead of 10th-place York College (62.9). Midland University won the competition with a score of 88.47.
Flames Coach April Allen was pleased with her team's performance.
"I'm happy with how we improved today!'' she said. "We scored better than both competitions last week and are excited to have two weeks of practice before the GPAC Championships.''
The GPAC Championships will be March 7 in Seward, Neb., and Concordia University will be the host school.
