Allen pleased with CSM's performance
ORANGE CITY, Iowa – April Allen was pleased with her squad's performance Friday night at the Northwestern Cheer & Dance Invite.
The Flames took seventh place with a score of 67.87 in the one-day invitational.
"I'm very proud of our performance in competition today," Allen said. "Our execution of skills on the rubric and staging was the best we've had all season. I am disappointed with the score, but am excited for tomorrow to improve and hopefully move up in placement."
Midland University won the event with 91.23, while Viterbo University took second with 87.33 and Grand View University placed third with 86.9. Morningside University finished fourth with a score of 82.77, Dordt University took fifth with 73.97 and Northwestern University placed sixth with 71.53. The Flames beat York University (66.77) and Carroll (56.07).
The Flames stay in Orange City to compete in the second Northwestern Cheer & Dance Invitational on Saturday.
