Weber to join CSM volleyball program
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary is excited to announce the signing of Mya Weber, who will join the school's volleyball program in the 2025-26 academic year.
Weber is a senior at Bellevue East High School. The daughter of Jeremy and Jessica Weber has played four years of volleyball, basketball and tennis for the Chieftains.
"Mya is a great young lady and a very talented volleyball player,'' CSM Volleyball Coach Rick Pruett said. "I feel she will fit into the culture of our program perfectly."
The 5-foot-10 Weber is the Bellevue East school record holder for total blocks in a season (109), blocks per game in a season (1.35) and career blocks (265). Those are her greatest sports moments to date. She was a team captain in her junior and senior years.
Weber's sports hero is former Nebraska volleyball player Jordan Larson, and her hobbies include baking, traveling and hiking.
Weber is thrilled to become a Flame.
"I chose this college because right as I stepped on campus, I felt very comfortable with everything,'' she said. "The coach and players also helped me feel welcomed. This environment will provide me with amazing opportunities to grow.''
Pruett said Weber brings great potential into his program.
"She has a big upside and I can see her developing into a really good collegiate player,'' he said. "Excited to have her in our program.''
